Well we got some bad news the other day. The Bad news was that Bill didn't make Chief and we thought that he would. We were happy that he didn't make it in a way. Bill had asked for shore duty orders for Whidbey and if he had made chief he wouldn't have got the orders. Then we would have had to move and sell our house or rent it. The good news is that the day after he found out he didn't make it, he found out that he got the orders to the wing for shore duty. That means we get to stay in our house for 3 more years. And he has a really good chance the next time to make Chief. We hope! I am so happy to get to stay home and that Bill is going to be able to spend more time with family. He has been out to sea so much in the last 4 years.

That is VERY good news! Sorry you didn't get move up, but sounds like it was for the best! We sure miss you guys!
I'm happy for you all. Rich had no luck as well, maybe next time. We are up for order soon and will be in our window to start looking. It's back to sea duty for Rich, we wish we could stay here longer.
